A Lovely Review Hug

Published July 29, 2014 by lydia999

Oh my gosh! I’m so pleased that I have received another lovely review – another hug –from Eileen, Southsea. Why not read the review on Hermit Media website? I have also added the review below for those who want to see it here.

Have you read ‘Petals of a Rose’ yet? If not, why not give it a try? 🙂

Eileen’s Review:-

‘Wow what an emotional roller coaster I’ve been on reading your book!!! I was completely gripped by it and felt really involved to the point that when ……… (removed for spoiler reasons!) I shouted ‘nooooo’. Poor poor little Jack I just wanted to pick him up and hug him …… (spoiler!). Truly I was quite upset about Lydia (complete little sweetheart). I finished the book on Sunday night and truly wanted to find out what happened to the characters. I hope you do write a sequel as I want to find out what happens with everyone. Too late for ……. (spoiler!) of course. I was quite upset reading the book as realise this type of thing does go on in homes and it breaks my heart. Very atmospheric’.

Thanks very much Eileen. I knew that it would be a difficult read, but hoped that it would stir some emotion, which it has done for you. I’m so very pleased 🙂

The book is available through the Hermit Media websiteAmazon, Waterstones online and other online book storesPetals of a Rose is also available in Kindle format from Amazon.

There will indeed be a sequel 🙂 Lydia’s story is due out Jan 2014.

Louise’s Words:-

I’m not much of a reader but I read this book in record timing as I couldn’t put it down! I really enjoyed the interesting storyline and thought it was cleverly written. I also loved the brilliant detail which made me feel like I was right there with them. I thought it was brilliantly told and I assure you that you will find yourself going through a whirlwind of emotion following Rose’s story. So looking forward to the next one and finding out Lydia’s story.

Thanks so very much Louise 🙂

First Review

Published July 16, 2014 by lydia999

Hi there

Before I started to write this blog I had a great review from Lucy in Horsham which I’d like to share with you;-

Just finished it … still crying. So powerful, sickening, heartbreaking. I feel like I’ve just been up North from your vivid descriptions and I want to throw my arms around Lydia, Annie, Jack and Alan (part of me round Rose too although I also want to punch her!). Congratulations, Lydia. I now know why you are so happy sitting at your desk and writing because it’s exactly where you should be.

I have had another review – this time from a man which is great as it reassures me that it appeals to both men and women – and I’d like to share this too. Tony of West Sussex had this to say;-

Read your book whilst I was away. Really enjoyed it and wanted to keep reading. Very intriguing! Very well written – you’re a clever old stick aren’t you 🙂

I would really love to hear from anyone who reads my book. I hope that it makes you feel something and perhaps gives a different perspective on people.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day 🙂
